Testosterone is the major sex hormone in men, and it is responsible for the creation of the male sexual characteristics. Women also produce testosterone in smaller quantities. Testosterone, a part of a hormone class referred to as androgens, is actually created by the testicles based on stimulation by the pituitary gland. The pituitary gland is located near the base of the brain, and it transmits signals into a male's testicles (or to a woman's ovaries) which ignite emotions associated with sexual desire. In men, testosterone performs an essential part in puberty, the time when a kid grows to sexual maturity and he can reproduce. The following alterations usually occur during this life stage
- The penis and testicles develop.
- Facial, pubic, and body hair grow.
- The voice deepens.
- Muscles and bones turned become stronger.
- Height will increase.
- Production of red blood cells.

Low Testosterone is a common hormonal abnormality in men. Low levels of testosterone affect a man’s sex drive, muscles, weight, bones, attitude and mood. Testosterone Replacement Therapy can help alleviate Low T symptoms. Male Hormone Physicians can prescribe a variety of testosterone treatments, as well as auxiliary hormone drugs such as HCG Injections and Aromatase Inhibitors to help treat Andropause (Low T) and ED.
Testosterone Injections are the most widely practised and cost-effective means of testosterone therapy because they have numerous advantages over testosterone creams, testosterone gels and testosterone dermal patches. Low T injections are beneficial for persons suffering from low testosterone symptoms and health problems caused by testosterone deficiency. If you think you may want to try testosterone gel or cream like Androgel® or Testim®, or testosterone patches like Androderm® or Testoderm®, these low t treatments are also available.
At the Testosterone Rejuvenation Clinic you can get many types of Testosterone Therapy. You and your physician will discuss which treatment method is best for you. We offer testosterone injections that are safe and effective, and importantly - produce immediate results. Testosterone injections are intramuscular shots, in which the hormone is injected directly into the blood stream. Testosterone shots or injections can help elevate your testosterone levels almost immediately so you can start enjoying the benefits of increased testosterone right away.
With over 25,000 patients, we have the best Testosterone Therapy pricing. To get Testosterone Pricing Info or more Low Testosterone Treatment information, fill out the Quick Info Request form for a Free Male Hormone Therapy consultation.
Testosterone Gels & Creams
We also provide testosterone gels and topical testosterone creams that are a fairly new form of male hormone treatment used to raise levels of testosterone levels in men suffering from low testosterone levels. Testosterone gels provide balanced testosterone levels to the body via skin. Due to its ease in use and minimal skin irritation, testosterone gel is now the main option for men undergoing testosterone therapy who prefer a topical solution over a hormone shot. Some men find that testosterone gels don't provide enough of a testosterone boost, are concerned about transfer to a family member or lover, or find that gels and creams don't absorb well into their skin. So, they may request a different method of testosterone replacement therapy.
If you decide to try a topical Testosterone Medication, you can buy Testosterone Androgel® that is one of the better ways to treat testosterone problems. Androgel® can be an effective way to increase testosterone levels. Androgel Testosterone is a clear, colorless and hydro alcoholic gel containing 1% testosterone. Androgel provides continues transdermal delivery of testosterone for 24 hours following a single application to intact, clean, dry skin of the shoulders, upper arms and/or abdomen.

What are Normal Testosterone Levels?
Men who think they may have Low T want to know,
What is a Normal Testosterone Level?.
Testosterone levels are usually measured through an androgen hormone blood test called a Serum Total Testosterone Test.
and normal ranges refer to the lab reference levels of androgen found in the bloodstream.
Lab Reference Ranges for Testosterone
There are two main laboratory references used by urologists and testosterone treatment specialists when determining normal testosterone levels in men.
- 300-1100 ng/dL
- 270-1070 ng/dL
Types of Testosterone in the Body
Testosterone in the Body. Testosterone exists in your body in 3 forms - SHBG bound testosterone, Albumin bound, and Free testosterone. The majority of bound testosterone in the body is chemically bound to a protein called SHBG or sex hormone binding globulin. The remaining bound testosterone in the bloodstream is mostly bound to albumin, another protein. Free testosterone is not chemically attached to any proteins and is considered the bio-active form of testosterone as it is readily available to bind to androgen receptor sites on cells.
Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG) or sex steroid-binding globulin (SSBG) is a glycoprotein that binds to the two sex hormones: androgen and estrogen.
Since Albumin bound testosterone can eventually break free from its protein, it can eventually become available for use by the body. Together with Free testosterone, Albumin bound testosterone comprises Bio-Available Testosterone.
Testosterone Blood Serum Measurements. A blood serum testosterone test measures the total of Bound, Bioavailable and Free Testosterone in the body.
What is considered a normal testosterone level of combined Bound Testosterone and Free Testosterone in a man's body can range anywhere from 300-1200 ng/dl (nanograms per deciliter).
Levels of androgen circulating in the bloodstream vary by a person's size, weight, age and health.
For physicians treating male hormone deficiency, it is helpful to separately measure the levels of Free Testosterone and Albumin Bound Testosterone
in the body, as this indicates the level of biologically available testosterone, or potentially active male sex hormone available for use by a man's body.
Read more about Testosterone Testing.
A Testosterone Level Blood Test measures the amount of testosterone hormone in the blood and is reported as nanograms per deciliter (ng/dL).
The bloodwork panel is also known as a Serum Testosterone Test ordered from the lab as, TTST - Testosterone, Total, Serum.
Formulating an Effective Testosterone Program. The various testosterone levels measured in your lab test and your low T symptoms are the guidelines by which you and your doctor can formulate a customized TRT program, measure treatment progress and get results. Your bloodwork analysis, medical evaluation, selection of testosterone drug types, and delivery methods impact your dosing schedule and are guided by your current T levels, general health, and how your body and moods react to different steroid hormone dosages. Testosterone Therapy is an individualized medical treatment and even small adjustments in dosage can have a big impact on your therapy results.
As Male Hormone Replacement Therapy progresses, levels of Free Testosterone levels may range between 1% to 4% of the Total testosterone blood serum. with Albumin Bound Testosterone ranging from about 30% to 33% and SHBG Bound Testosterone ranging from about 63% to 70%. 2% Free Testosterone is considered an optimal androgen level for men's health. The best Testosterone Programs check Total, Bio-available and Free levels of testosterone, as well as estrogens, HGH Human Growth Hormone, DHEA, cortisol, lipids, red blood cells and other important biological markers needed for good testosterone treatment results.
What is the proper Testosterone Dose? Each man's body has a different to androgen steroid supplementation. Testosterone is highly androgenic and anabolic with any excess that builds up in the body converting to estrogen. That process is called Aromatization. To avoid unwanted side effects from TRT, your hormone physician may also prescribe AI's or Aromatase Inhibitors (Arimidex®), Estrogen Blockers as well as HCG Injections during your androgen therapy and as PCT (Post Cycle Therapy) to prevent testicular atrophy and an reboot your natural testosterone production.
What causes Low T in Men
As men age, their level of SHBG increases, binding to more testosterone in their body. This leaves less Free or Bio-active testosterone in the bloodstream. This, together with a decline in efficiency of the specialized Leydig Cells in the testes that produce testosterone, or pituitary malfunction which causes a problem with the hormones that signal testosterone production can cause an androgen deficiency. In addition to this, the body's androgen hormone receptors can make less natural testosterone available to a man for use by the body. This androgen deficiency, also known as Andropause - the male menopause, can cause many of the symptoms associated with low testosterone levels in men.
Testosterone for Replacement Therapy in the USA
Testosterone used for TRT in the USA. The most common forms of injectable testosterone in the US include Testosterone Cypionate, Testosterone Propionate, Testosterone Enanthate, Testosterone Undecanoate, or a combination of different esterized types of testosterone steroid injection. The most popular form of testosterone used for TRT in the United States, is cypionate testosterone. The most popular cypionate injection is Pfizer's Depo-Testosterone Cypionate (Depo-Testosterone Injections). Some popular ester blends of testosterone are Sustanon 250mg and Omnadren 250mg.
How Testosterone Esters Work?
A testosterone ester is a molecule that attaches to the testosterone molecule which must be broken down creating a timed released action. The steroid injection is injected into the muscle where it creates a resorvoir or depot of testosterone hormone which is gradually and steadily released into the body once it is injected. Each of the esterized forms is a pure testosterone which is the attached to the ester which increases the half-life in the body to provide for a stable level of androgen horone in the blood. Cypionate, enanthate, undecanoate and propionate are all esters used to produce the testosterone steroid hormone injections used for Testosterone Therapy.
Esters found in TRT Drug Medicines
Cypionate: This ester has a half-life of 8 to 10 days resulting in steady metabolism of the steroid testosteroone hormone once injected. Providers commonly recommend injecting cypionate once to twice per week to maintain stable hormone levels. 100mg of Testosterone Cypionate yields about 70mg of actual testosterone, the remaining 30mg is ester solution. Starting cypionate doses raise a patient's testosterone levels to within optimal ranges of 600ng to 1100ng using 100mg-250mg IM Cypionate every 8 to 14 days.
Enanthate: This esterized testosterone is metabolized by the body over 3 to 5 days and can remain in the body for up to 2 weeks after injection. 100mg of Testosterone Enanthate yields about 75mg of actual testosterone, the remaining 25mg is ester solution. Injections are administered every 3 to 5 days. Starting enanthate doses raise a patient's testosterone levels to within optimal ranges of 600ng/dL to 1100ng/dL using 100mg-250mg IM Enanthate every 3 to 5 days.
Propionate: This is a faster acting ester which can peak in the blood within hours and be fully metabolized over 2 to 3 days. Propionate Injections such as Testoviron® are commonly administered every other day, or every 2 days. Since propionate steroid injections metabolizes so rapidly, it needs to be administered frequently. Frequent administration ensures stable androgen blood levels and optimizes testosterone levels very quickly. 100mg of Testosterone Propionate yields a bout 90mg of testosterone with the remaining 10mg being ester solution.
Undecanoate: This ester has a half-life of over 10 days resulting in the steady metabolism of steroid testosterone hormone once injected. Providers commonly recommend injecting Undecanoate such as Aveed® once in a large dose of 750mg and then again after a month. Thereafter an undecanoate injections is made every 3 months or so to maintain stable androgen hormone levels.
Aqueous Testosterone Suspension:Has no Ester and requires frequent or daily IM injections since it remains in the body only for a few hours. This esterized testosterone is not usually prescribed for TRT.
