How does Testosterone get so Low

Beyond a natural decline of 1% per year after the of age of 30, men's production of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) which in turn stimulates testosterone also decreases with aging, which lowers testosterone production. Moreover, a protein that binds up and holds onto testosterone called sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) increases in older men. These factors together reduce the amount of free (unbound) testosterone in a man's blood that is available to tissues such as muscles, and to organs like the penis.

Some of the symptoms of low testosterone are decreased sex drive or libido, no or poor erections, lowered sperm count, sudden gain in weight, soft muscles and increased breast size to name a few. Some men with low testosterone have hot flashes, increased irritability, inability to concentrate and depression. Men with severely low testosterone may lose body hair and muscle mass. Their bones may be more prone to fracture. Their testes may become smaller and softer.

With our Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT), lower-than-normal testosterone levels can be regulated and modified. We can prescribe a male hormone replacement program comprised of testosterone, HCG and other testosterone boosters for men who have very low levels of testosterone. Low Testosterone therapy treatments are available as injections, creams, patches and gels.

Testosterone Therapy is not just about enhancing muscle mass or sex drive, but it improves overall performance of a man in routine life activities including boosting motivation and alertness.
